Why Horror? Lesa believes that if you've been redeemed, all the forces of darkness cannot hold you back. You're not under the curse. Human nature; however, especially when overcome with dread and fear, weaves a fascinating tale. It is in those darkest times, when the forces of darkness attempt to invade, that the most intriquing stories emerge.

Lesa Pascavis Smith lives in West Virginia with her husband and four children. After years of having “jobs with shoes,” she has come full circle to her love of art, writing and living the life of a barefoot dreamer. She draws inspiration for her stories from the Appalachian hills and hollows rich with mystery and intrigue.
As a very young child, she was known as the little girl with blonde ringlets, big blue eyes and a wild imagination when she freaked out her family with reports that she had seen an apparition. She wrote her first ghost story at the tender age of seven and now gravitates toward the darker side of writing, often weaving supernatural and spiritual elements throughout.
One of Lesa’s favorite questions to ask is, “Do you believe in the supernatural?” Visit her on Facebook at Dying to Write and share your story.
